Heat treatment and conveying of milk powder

New installation of fluidized bed vibrating cooler and tubular vibrating feeder.

New installation in Italy for Vibroprocess of a vibrating cooler with dimensions 400×5500 mm and of a tubular vibrating feeder with diameter 220×7100 mm, for the treatment of powdered milk.

Both applications have been entirely made of AISI 316L stainless steel certified for food use.

The inside of the machines has been mirroring polished, obtaining a surface roughness of 0.8 µm, in order to help the product flow, prevent the encrustations and to allow the complete cleaning of all parts in direct contact with the product.

Inside vibrating cooler

Our fluidized bed conveyor purpose is to cool down the product temperature, bringing it from 60°C to 30°C. The room temperature air is introduced into the vibrating cooler through a fan and passing through a micro-perforated sheet it allows heat exchange with the product.

Vibrating cooler portholes

The exhausted air is then extracted through the suction hood and then filtered. The hood is complete with portholes that can be opened for inspection and cleaning. Once the process is complete, the product is conveyed by vibration to the final part of the vibrating channel, from which it will be then conveyed to other parts of the plant.
